On November 3rd, 2021, the Board of Directors of the Bay Area Gardeners Scholarship Foundation formally announced the start of an exciting, new chapter for our organization.
We have renamed the organization the Catalino Tapia Scholarship Foundation in honor of our founder, a man with a tremendous vision and an enormous heart.
In the company of family, friends, and supporters, we revealed our new logo at a special event that took place at the Elizabeth Gamble Garden in Palo Alto.
Here are the highlights of the event.
At the launch of the Catalino Tapia Scholarship Foundation on November 3rd, 2021, we were pleased to have the participation of Maria Leticia Gomez, a long-time friend and supporter of the foundation, and former Univision 14 television anchor.
She has always believed and supported our mission. Maria Leticia has also seen our organization grow and blossom into a vibrant organization.
Our celebration of the new Catalino Tapia Scholarship Foundation was full of vibrant colors, music, and entertainment thanks to the performances of Laura San Pablo and Mariachi Mexicanisimo! The wonderful traditions of the Day of the Dead were brought to life by Laura San Pablo dressed as La Catrina.
